Create a vCard QR code

A static vCard places contact fields directly in the code, so a compatible scanner can offer to save them without loading a web page. A hosted contact page instead opens a web address and lets you update the displayed details later. Choose based on how often your details change.

Direct vCard or published contact page?

QRinio generates direct contacts as vCard 3.0. The name, phone and email are stored in the image. Essential business details are often enough for a compact print. A contact page has room for a photo and more buttons, but opening it requires internet access and publication of the page.

Check importing and later changes

Test the complete import on devices your audience uses, not just code recognition. Check names, accented characters, international phone prefixes and the assignment of multiple numbers. Some apps display fields differently or omit them.

A contact imported into an address book is a copy. Editing a hosted contact page does not automatically update that copy. Tell recipients about important changes and publish only details intended for those readers.

What to keep in mind

Contact data in a printed vCard is readable by anyone holding it. A hosted profile needs an account and explicit publication; it is not a private address book.

Can I edit a printed vCard?
The data inside a static image cannot change. Use a hosted contact page when future updates are important.
Can I embed a photo in this vCard?
