Step by step
Understand QR statistics and UTM campaigns
QRinio counts requests to saved redirect addresses. The QR and short-link channels are reported separately. These are requests, not uniquely identified people or completed purchases. A copied QR address can also be opened without a camera scan.

Reading the counters
Your own tests, repeated visits and automated link previews may count. Bot detection is a classification, not proof of a human visitor. Compare matching periods and channels, and record when material was distributed or a destination changed.
Each quota owner can store up to 10,000 detailed events per UTC calendar month, shared by personal resources and owned workspaces. Recognised bots also use that budget. Redirects and aggregate counters continue after the cap. Detailed events and daily statistics are retained for 90 days.
UTM labels the visit to the destination
Use a consistent naming scheme for utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign; utm_content can distinguish variants. These parameters belong in the destination URL. QRinio can add them but does not install analytics on your website. Its setup, consent requirements and reporting remain the website operator’s responsibility.
Do not put names, email addresses or other personal data in UTM values. After scanning, inspect the final address: further redirects can remove parameters. Different measurement methods and blocked website analytics can explain discrepancies between the two systems.
How it works
- 01
Use a separate link or clear UTM label for every placement you need to distinguish.
- 02
Test the full journey and check which parameters arrive at the final website.
- 03
Compare QRinio channels and destination analytics for the same period, taking event-detail coverage into account.
What to keep in mind
QRinio does not record scans of static content embedded directly in an image. A static website code with UTM tags can be measured at the destination if that website has suitable analytics.

- Do 100 requests mean 100 people?
- No. One person may create several requests, and automated requests may be included. QRinio does not provide a unique-person count.
- Does the statistics limit stop my campaign?
- No. The monthly detail limit caps stored individual events. Existing redirects and aggregate counters continue.
