QRinio

Step by step

Connect a domain to QRinio

Use a subdomain dedicated to QR links so your main website can keep its own hosting. Adding the hostname in QRinio creates a pending entry and displays the exact proof record. DNS ownership alone does not make the website or TLS certificate available.

Example dataQRinio

example.com

Illustrative address: qr.example.com/r/summer. The printed address stays the same when its destination changes; this example domain is not connected.

Keep www.example.com on your shop hosting and route qr.example.com to the QRinio service.

DNS proof and routing do different jobs

The TXT record proves control of the hostname. The CNAME determines where requests go. The hosting entry point must also serve that exact hostname with a valid certificate. Copy the values from your account and coordinate the last step with whoever operates that entry point.

Connect a new hostname to test content first. Confirm that the complete request works over HTTPS before producing a large print run with that address.

How it works

  1. 01

Add the hostname in the desired personal or workspace scope.

  2. 02

At your DNS provider, add the displayed TXT proof and CNAME record without overwriting the main website.

  3. 03

Arrange the hostname and certificate on the hosting ingress, then run verification from domain settings.

What to keep in mind

The HTTPS challenge must reach QRinio on the same hostname. DNS propagation can delay verification. Do not copy another account’s proof or use internal network addresses.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect a domain that is already assigned elsewhere?
A hostname can only have one active owner in QRinio. Release or transfer its existing assignment before connecting it to a different account or workspace.
